Moving pictures, or movies, as we fondly call them, have been around for a hundred years. The first fantastic worlds were created by Georges Melies in France at the beginning of the century. From those early pioneering days, motion pictures have exploded into the major art form of the twentieth century.

At it's highest level of achievement motion pictures can be judged alongside great literature, great music, and great painting. Filmmakers have created enduring cultural masterpieces. The history of motion pictures is endlessly fascinating, and the films themselves are a record of our rapidly changing world. The movies have something for everyone - romance, comedy, thrills, adventure, horror, war, patriotism, dance, faraway lands, lure of the old west, and the future of space travel. Films can delight or enchant; they can frighten, shock or appall. They transport us into fantasy worlds, they make us laugh and cry. Above all, movies entertain us.

Literally thousands of awards are given every year to worthy films, from the Academy Awards, to Cannes, to Golden Globes and a myriad of other film festivals. Yet, there has never been a world-class museum established to both honor and preserve the "all-time" greatest accomplishments in the history of motion pictures. The Motion Picture Hall of Fame is the first of it's kind.

The first Motion Picture Hall of Fame Museum will be located in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The Hall of Fame's extensive virtual museum will be online everywhere in the world, offering a great variety of fun, entertainment and film history.
