MOTION PICTURE HALL OF FAME
SEEKS
CITY AS PARTNER
TO BUILD
THEMED ATTRACTION

The Board of Directors of the Motion Picture Hall of Fame announced today that the corporation is seeking a City partner to build a shrine to motion pictures, actors, actresses, writers, producers, directors and film scores.  The themed attraction is projected to draw 360,000 visitors in its first year. The projected cost to build is $10,000,000 (ten-million dollars).

The Motion Picture Hall of Fame will be a state-of-the-art facility with fully interactive exhibits, rotating displays, memorabilia, portraitures and live vignettes.

The purpose is to entertain and educate the public about the people and processes involved in film making.

The goal will be to establish the Motion Picture Hall of Fame as a place of authority and distinction in and outside the motion picture industry by bringing the overwhelming wonder of Hollywood and its red-carpet experiences.

The Motion Picture Hall of Fame will be dedicated to preserving, honoring and commemorating those motion pictures, actors, actresses, writers, producers, directors and film scores which have excelled and have had a profound impact on the motion picture industry and its art form.

It will induct into the Hall of Fame meritorious movies and individuals, whether living or deceased, to honor and commemorate their works and contributions to the history of motion pictures.

It will also bring together up and coming motion picture artists and movie going enthusiasts through film festivals, seminars, lectures and various other special events, which will serve to highlight the vast array of talent and imagination, brought to reality through motion pictures.

The public and the fans will decide who gets inducted into the Motion Picture Hall of Fame on an annual basis by voting.

An annual television special, “The Motion Picture Hall of Fame Honors” will allow the current stars to honor the greatest stars of all time.
